Four different textures of clear glass have been used in this round mandala suncatcher panel. The center focal point is a clear glass bevel which is very prismatic. This art glass piece emits wonderful geometric energy.
This piece measures 13 1/4 inches diameter, approximately 34cm.
The center of this mandala features a pretty clear flat backed beveled glass jewel. Surrounding the jewel is lovely textured glass. All of the glass pieces besides the gem have been cut by hand, wrapped with copper foil and then soldered together--first one side and then the backside. The piece was then wrapped with a type of lead channel framing to give it strength and a finished look. Two loops have been soldered to the back at 10 and 2 o'clock with chain included for hanging. The metals have been chemically darkened to a black patina.
