Dense textured vibrant stained glass has been used for the short sides and the box cover along with clear glass for the box bottom. I affectionately call this green frog glass as it is what I have used in the past for frog suncatchers.
The decorative piece of glass I chose to use for the top was salvaged from my house/workshop fire in 2014. I have loads of glass I saved, much of it in interesting color combinations and shaped. This one is a combination of green, white and black. The glass chunk I wrapped with copper wire and tack soldered. The wire surrounding the chunk feeds through the hole I drilled through the center of the glass lid. Its soldered beneath so can't pull through. The textured soldered sides have been treated with copper patina as well.
Overall measurement is 3 1/4 inches tall, the bottom for the box to the top of the glass chunk. The box itself measures 2 inches tall by 4 x 4 inches wide at the opening, 2 3/4 inches square at the base. 8.5 inches tall from bottom to top of glass chunk, the box itself is 5 cm tall by 10 cm square at the opening with a 7 x 7 cm base.
Can possibly be combined with other items. Inquire with interest.
