Multiple firings in the kiln were needed to create the fused glass coasters in this set. Each one unique and one of a kind. Colors of green, amber, red and orange fused into a base of white glass. They remind me of old fashioned candy. The bottoms of the coasters are smooth. I do have plastic furniture protectors I can include.
Each coaster has undergone a long cycle to completely melt and bond the glass together. They were then cooled slowly which has given them strength and durability. They are easily cleaned with soap and water and can withstand hot and cold temperatures.
