Textured clear iridescent glass makes up the pieces used for the sides along with the cover of this stained glass box. Violet purple waterglass has been used for the bottom. One of my favorite pieces of salvaged melted glass chunks has been soldered to the cover. The glass piece was found during clean up after my workshop burned to the ground. Its an interesting mix of various shades of purple along with bits of black and more.
The texture of the glass is somewhat bumpy which gives the box an icy look. Textured decorative solder graces the side seams on the outside of the box.
The glass chunk has been wrapped with wire and a hold drilled into the center of the lid to secure it.
The box measures 3 1/2 inches square at the base, 2 3/4 inches tall at the corners and 5 inches long by 5 inches wide at the opening, 9 cm square at base, 7 cm tall and 12.5 cm by 12.5 cm at the top opening.
