Melted aluminum and fused salvaged glass combined in creating this one of a kind mobile windchime. Salvaged during clean up of my house and workshop fire that started on the night of January 29, 2014. I gathered what I could and have been creating pieces of art with the metals and glass.
The metal most likely came from my car which melted. I had a workshop full of stained glass and other supplies. I fused glass that I had saved and set the pieces with high temp wire. The colors included are sky and aqua blue, cobalt blue and one piece of purple. I wrapped tinned wire to the aluminum base, the glass pieces are hanging from jack chain.
Measures 16 1/2 inches long, 42 cm.
