Red swirled glass and black stained glass combined together in this versatile mosaic piece. It can be used as a trivet, a coaster or simply as a decorative dish or plate. Measures 7 inches diameter and right about 3/4 inch tall, nearly 18 cm by 2 cm.
The glass for the leaf has been backed with Brite Bak, a type of silver foil used it mosaic. In certain light the leaf really glows and shines. The background is of both smooth and Waterglass textured black glass along with black grout. The base is a sturdy metal plate with 3 ball feet on the bottom. I used the metal plate for a number of years as a candle holder, now its been upcycled into a new purpose.
