Stained glass cicada wing created using lovely luminescent clear glass.
This suncatcher measures 15 1/4 inches long by 5 1/4 inches wide at the widest point, 38 cm by just over 14 cm.
All of the glass pieces have been hand cut and shaped to fit. Assembled in the Tiffany method using copper foil and solder, the entire wing has then been wrapped with a type of lead channel framing for strength. A single loop has been attached at the base of the wing. A small amount of chain with be included for hanging this piece.
