Rainbow stained glass hot air balloon suncatcher handcrafted in the Tiffany method using beautiful Waterglass textured glass made by the Spectrum Glass Company. Waterglass has a gentle texture that resembles water on a lake. The pieces have been arranged so it appears that the balloon is inflated and ready to set aloft. The basket has been crafted using a sparkly textured amber colored glass.
The glass pieces have been cut by hand, wrapped with copper foil and then soldered together both front and back. Lead channel frame has been wrapped around the entire balloon for strength, stability and a finished look. Two loops have been soldered to the back of the balloon with chain included for hanging.
The overall measurement of this hot air balloon suncatcher is 10 1/2 inches tall by 8 inches wide (27cm x 20 cm), the balloon itself measures 8 1/4 inches tall (21 cm).
