FRENCH BRAID SUNSET QUILT xppx 90.5" X 92.5" This gorgeous quilt is made of good quality 100% cotton, most of them batiks, in sunset colors The separate pieces of the braids were very carefully selected and arranged tonally from light to dark, and dark to light, for that ombre effect so popular today. Beginning with beige to yellow to gold to green and finally, to purple. There are four braids the length of the fabric separated by a row of peachy colored fabric which is then bordered in purple. The purple is repeated in the small diamond shaped pieces on the braids and then the inner border is a mottled green purple batik (also used in the big triangles of the braids) and finally, an outer border of a peachy fabric. The green binding is doubled, corners are mitered, and it is machine sewn for durability. The quilt was professionally long arm quilted by our friend,Anita Blair, of Cabin Creek Quilts in Shelton, WA. The back is a mottled gold color as shown where it is folded back in the above pictures. This quilt is shown on a queen sized bed and has enough drop all the way around. Please check the measurements of this quilt to assure it meets your needs. This quilt is handmade and may therefore contain some creative imperfections. The finished quilt was washed in a gentle fragrance and chemical free soap and dried on low to begin the softening and puffing up process. You may expect a very minimal amount of shrinkage with the first couple of washings.

So easy to take care of, just wash and dry as you would for any quality fabrics, cold or warm wash, line dry or machine dry on low OR HANG TO DRY, for that soft puffy look. Don't use bleach, or hot water, but you can use Spray and Wash.
