This bracelet features over 20 carats of 6-8mm Pink and Green Tourmaline beads, 24k rose gold vermeil Karen Hill Tribe beads and 14k rose gold filled clasp and components.

Tourmaline is a birthstone for October, along with opal. Tourmaline is also the gem of the eighth anniversary.

Tourmalines come in a wide variety of exciting colors. In fact, tourmaline has one of the widest color ranges of any gem species, occurring in various shades of virtually every hue.

Tourmaline’s colors have many different causes. It’s generally agreed that traces of iron, and possibly titanium, induce green and blue colors. Manganese produces reds and pinks, and possibly yellows.

All colored Tourmaline gems display pleochroism, meaning their color changes when viewed at different angles. In some Tourmaline gems, this effect is hardly noticeable, while in others it is strongly apparent.

Tourmalines are found in many locations around the globe. These gems were mined in Nigeria.
