A rolling wave captured and depicted in glass. Four shades of blue along with clear glass and glass powders used to create this free form panel. First the glass pieces were hand cut then color and bits of texture added to some of the pieces and then these pieces were fused in the kiln. Hand painted flying birds added using glass paint. Copper foil and solder hold the pieces together, lead came framing wrapped around to give the suncatcher a smooth finished look. The metals of solder and lead were chemically treated with black patina. Two loops attached with chain included for hanging.
Measures 10 1/2 inches wide by 6 1/2 inches tall, 27 cm by 16 cm.
