Fluorite is considered to be one of most popular minerals in the world among gem and mineral collectors, second only to quartz. It is often referred to as 'the most colorful mineral in the world' owing to its variety of brilliant colors.
In 1852, the phenomenon of 'fluorescence' was named after fluorite, since it was one of the first fluorescent minerals studied.

Fluorescent colors of fluorite are extremely variable, but the typical color is blue; other fluorescent colors include yellow, green, red, white and purple.

Fluorite deposits are found in many locations around the world. Some of the most significant finds are located in Argentina, Austria, Canada, China, England, France, Germany, Mexico, Morocco, Myanmar (Burma), Afghanistan, Namibia, Russia, Spain, Switzerland and the United States.

These Fluorite beads were mined in Afghanistan

Topaz, in its pure form, is colorless (white). Impurities are what cause variations in color. Topaz has a history that goes back at least two thousand years.

Deposits of topaz have been found in Brazil, Afghanistan, Australia, Myanmar (Burma), China, Germany, Japan, Madagascar, Mexico, Namibia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Russia, Zimbabwe, Sri Lanka, Ukraine and the USA.

These White Topaz beads were mined in Brazil.

This bracelet also features Karen Hill Tribe Silver beads that have been handcrafted by artisans in northern Thailand. These skilled artisans use traditional methods of metalsmithing that have been handed down from generation-to-generation.

The silver content of these beads is 97% pure silver. Sterling silver has a purity content of 92.5%.
