Enjoy the beauty of spring year round with this original design stained glass suncatcher featuring boldly colored red, orange and yellow tulips. This round suncatcher panel measures 15 inches diameter, just over 38 cm.
Using lightly textured transparent colored glass for the tulips in ruby and cherry red, bright orange and sunny yellow along with medium and dark grasss green for the leaves, this piece really pops. The addition of glass bevels and three types of textured clear glass really add a bit of sparkle.
Assembled in the Tiffany method of glass work, each piece of glass (besides the bevels) has been cut by hand and made to fit. All of the pieces are then wrapped with copper foil and the puzzle is then soldered together, first one side then the back side. Wrapped with lead channel came all around with two loops soldered to the back and chain to be included for hanging. Chemically darkened for a dark charcoal color to the metals.
