These are wood framed icons of Christ the Teacher and the Virgin of Peschanskaya.
Lovely gilded metal overlays with gold colored paint on the inside of both pieces. The protective doors open and are on hinges and close with metal clasps.
Each measures 8 inches tall by 6 7/8 wide, 1 3/4 inches deep.
CONDITION ISSUES- both icons are missing the protective glass that should fit into the doors. I will be glad to include the glass but with wrap them separate from the icons. On the inside of the doors are missing tiny nails that would hold the glass in place. There are some stains on the icons, specifically on the gold colored paint that surrounds them. On the backside of both pieces are pieces of what appears to be vinyl covered cardboard which is not in good condition. I will be glad to show additional photos of all angles.
