Perfect Christmas present, MOTHER'S DAY gift, or for your favorite aunt or grandmother. ACTUAL COLOR IS A LITTLE DARKER PARTICULARLY THE BACK WHICH IS WINE/BURGUNDY. (Sorry, it was a very overcast day and the lights made the pictures turn out lighter than the actual colors.)The quilt is made with quality fabrics in 100% cotton. The focal fabric features beautiful flowers in burgundy lavender and purple, and olive green leaves on a beige khaki background. The leaves and flowers are outlined in shiny gold (not metallic)' which really makes the pattern pop! Coordinating blocks are light purple, olive green and beige khaki, plus two small leaf patterned prints. and the outer border repeats the focal fabric. The inner border is solid burgundy, the outer border is in the main fabric, The binding is a solid wine/burgundy fabric. It was machine made by us and professionally quilted by our wonderful friend, Anita Blair, at Cabin Creek Quilts. in a gorgeous frond leaf design which you can see on the last picture which shows the back. Zoom in to get better view of quilting. Last Picture shows the quilting on the back of the quilt. The batting (inner layer) is Warm and Natural, a blend of 80/20 percent cotton/polyester, which is very durable and will hold up to numerous washings. Binding is doubled and machine sewn for durability .*Please note measurements to make sure that they suit your purposes* This item is handmade and has its own creative imperfections.
We've been making quilts for over 25 years and absolutely love it, and we're NOT just talking about the buying the fabric part either. We've made over 400 quilts of all sizes. We love picking the patterns and then matching the fabrics and colors to them, and can never wait to see how it is going to come out.
Our quilts are just as beautiful and well made as quilts that sell for much more, and they are even more beautiful in person. We've kept our prices very reasonable, generally only enough to cover costs so that more people will know the joy of owning their own beautiful, keepsake quilt to cherish and later to hand down.
So easy to take care of, just wash and dry as you would for any quality fabrics, cold or warm wash, line dry or machine dry on low for that soft puffy look. Don't use bleach. Since this color is such bright colors, wash it is cold water and tumble dry for first few washings.
If you can stand to give it away, it will make a beautiful, unique gift for that family member or special friend who's expecting.
