Rainbow colored fused glass bowl is based on one of my suncatcher designs. The colored glass was fused to a clear glass base for the first session in the kiln. The second session it was slumped, or heated to the point of being fluid enough to take the shape of the bowl mold it was placed in. Next, I manipulated the glass on the underside to give it a frosty appearance. The inside of the bowl is quite glossy as you can see in the photos where it is picking up shadows of the trees outside where I photographed it. Its stunning when placed on a dark surface as it seems to glow.
Measures 7 1/2 diameter at 1 inch tall, 19 cm by 25 mm.
Completely food safe, not recommended for the microwave or dishwasher.
